Abstract: ABSTRACT A COMPOSITION AND METHOD FOR PREPARING A CORNCOB-REINFORCED PMMA-PEG BIOCOMPOSITE USING ACACIA GUM AS A NATURAL BINDER This invention relates to a biocomposite in the field of polymer composites, comprising a hybrid polymer matrix of PMMA and PEG dissolved in acetone at approximately 50°C, combined with a bio-based filler of finely milled corncob powder and bonded by acacia gum. The components are uniformly integrated via a controlled stir casting process, forming a homogeneous slurry that is cast into flexible TPU molds and subsequently cured at about 60°C for 2 to 4 hours, achieving a filler content of approximately 60 weight percent. The composite exhibits a microstructure of uniform filler dispersion and may be configured in various standardized geometries, offering an environmentally sustainable alternative in biocomposite materials.
