Abstract: A CO2-stripping urea process and plant wherein urea is formed by reacting ammonia and carbon dioxide in a vertical reactor (1); a first urea-containing stream (12) is withdrawn from the reactor at an intermediate elevation by means of a first downcomer (103), and sent to a high-pressure stripper (2); a second urea-containing stream (15) is withdrawn from the reactor at an upper elevation by means of a second downcomer (104), and sent to an ejector (4) for reintroduction in the reactor together with fresh ammonia.
