Abstract: A method of preparing a monitored graft assembly (100) comprises providing a graft layer (101) and providing a scaffold layer (103) supporting a sensor array (105); aligning the graft layer (101) and the scaffold layer (103); co meshing the graft layer (101) and the scaffold layer (103) to simultaneously form aligned perforations extending through both layers and thereby forming an integration layer (107); and maintaining spatial alignment of the sensor array (105) with the aligned perforations during expansion of the integration layer (107). The integration layer (107) is expanded and positioned on a tissue site while spatial correspondence between the sensor array (105) and a graft tissue interface is maintained. (FIG. 1)
