The inner clutch carrier 202 includes main channels 206 to receive splashed oil, and sets of secondary channels 208 that branch out from the main channel 206 for distribution of oil to the clutch plates 106, 108. Barriers 302 are provided across width of secondary channel 208 to create a reservoir of oil in the main channel 206 such that the oil from the reservoir spills over to the secondary channels 208, ensuring even distribution oil to the secondary channels 208.
