MUMBAI, India, June 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641070420 A) filed by T. Jai Prakash Reddy on June 05, 2026, for A Client-Side System And Method For Geospatial Rainwater Harvesting Estimation.

Inventor includes T. Jai Prakash Reddy.

The application for the patent was published on June 26, 2026, under issue no. 26/2026.

Abstract: A Client-Side System and Method for Geospatial Rainwater Harvesting Estimation The present invention provides a system (100) and method for estimating the annual rainwater harvesting potential of a user-delineated catchment area. The system, executed as a web-based application on a client computing device (101), comprises a geolocation module (102) to obtain device coordinates, an interactive map interface (103) for receiving user input defining a polygon, an area calculation module (105), a rainfall data module (106) for retrieving precipitation data, and a runoff calculation module (107) to compute the harvest volume. The technical advancement resides in the client-side architecture, wherein the entire estimation workflow is executed locally on the client device. This architecture provides the technical effect of enhancing user privacy by eliminating server-side storage of user geometry and improves system performance by removing network latency during interactive use. A report generation module (108) creates a downloadable report of the estimation. Refer FIG. 1
