MUMBAI, India, Nov. 2 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641125225 A) filed by Teamwin Global Technologica Private Limited on October 21, 2026, for A Client-Side Mail-Add-In Method And System That Warns At Compose Time Upon Recipient Change, Via A Non-Blocking Compose Banner And Without Transmitting The Message To A Server, When A Current Recipient'S Domain Does Not Appear Among The Domains Of The Quoted Email Thread..

The application for the patent was published on October 30, 2026, under issue no. 44/2026.
Abstract: A CLIENT-SIDE MAIL-ADD-IN METHOD AND SYSTEM THAT WARNS AT COMPOSE TIME UPON RECIPIENT CHANGE, VIA A NON-BLOCKING COMPOSE BANNER AND WITHOUT TRANSMITTING THE MESSAGE TO A SERVER, WHEN A CURRENT RECIPIENT'S DOMAIN DOES NOT APPEAR AMONG THE DOMAINS OF THE QUOTED EMAIL THREAD. A mail-client add-in or extension is disclosed that, at compose time upon a recipient-change event (adding 0 ms of latency to message send) and entirely on the client, parses the quoted thread (historical) section of a message being composed for email addresses, reduces them to a set of thread domains, computes the set of current-recipient domains, and — when a current recipient's domain is absent from the thread-domain set — surfaces a non-blocking compose banner (InsightMessage infobar or inline top-of-compose banner) that names the new domain and the recipient. Dismissal or acknowledgment keyed to the message identifier and the new domain is recorded in client-side add-in storage so the banner does not re-nag, and removing the deviating recipient clears the banner (with optional two-click pre-send confirmation on hosts configured for send-time blocking). The check runs without transmitting the message, its body, or its recipient list to a server, converting a generic external-recipient notice into a conversation-specific "new domain" compose banner that catches autocomplete and look-alike domain errors. It is published defensively over expired prior art. Abstract figure: FIG. 2.
