Abstract: Dental anxiety associated with local anesthetic injections remains a significant challenge in pediatric dentistry, often resulting in fear, poor cooperation, and negative treatment experiences. Conventional dental syringes possess a threatening appearance that can heighten anticipatory anxiety in children and complicate clinical procedures. The present project introduces 'Happy Dose' an innovative, colorful, 3D-printed, childfriendly syringe housing designed to conceal a conventional cartridge-type dental syringe while serving as a visual distraction tool. The device incorporates playful shapes and an ergonomic configuration that maintains sterility, precision, and full clinician control during administration of local anesthesia. By transforming the visual perception of the injection instrument into a non-threatening and engaging form, the system aims to reduce procedural anxiety, improve patient cooperation, and enhance the overall pediatric dental experience.
