The application for the patent was published on July 31, 2026, under issue no. 31/2026.
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a method for chemical plating of micro glass balloons (MGBs). The method includes treating a surface of MGBs using a coupling agent solution to obtain surface-treated MGBs, activating the surface-treated MGBs using a stabilizer solution to obtain activated MGBs, and depositing nickel on the activated MGBs. The nickel deposition involves immersing the activated MGBs in a bath solution comprising nickel ions and a reducing agent, and heating the bath solution to a temperature between 70°C and 90°C. The coupling agent solution may comprise a silane compound such as 3-aminopropyltriethoxysilane. The stabilizer solution may contain palladium chloride. The bath solution typically includes sodium sulphate, nickel sulfate hexahydrate, sodium hypophosphite, thiourea, and ammonia. The present invention provides uniform distribution of nickel on the glass surface with higher deposition efficiency.
