Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: A CHECK VALVE FOR CONTROLLING A PARKING 5 BRAKE, A PARKING BRAKE ASSEMBLY AND A PNEUMATIC BRAKE SYSTEM THEREOF A check valve for controlling a parking brake of a vehicle is described. The check valve includes a 10 valve body defined with a first end, an open second end opposite to the first end and a bore of a varying diameter defined by a first segment, a second segment, a third segment, and a transition region between the second segment and the third segment. The valve body has an inlet port and at least one delivery port. A valve seat is slidably disposed in the bore and is displaceable between a first position and a second position within the bore to selectively allow flow of compressed air between the inlet port and 15 the at least one delivery port to selectively operate the parking brake of the vehicle. A sealing element is disposed in a second slot defined in the valve seat and is displaceable with the valve seat. In the first position, the sealing element is configured to be in a contact state with the second segment of the bore allowing compressed air to flow from the inlet port to the at least one delivery port. In the second position, the sealing element is configured to be in a non-contact state with the second segment of the 20 bore allowing bi-directional flow of compressed air between the inlet port and the at least one delivery port. Fig. 1 is a representative figure.
