The input device (120) is configured to receive an input indicative of a preferred operation mode of the charging device (102). The preferred operation mode being one of a charging mode or a discharging mode. The control units (114a, 114b, 114c) are configured to receive the preferred operation mode, perform a switching operation of the converters (108, 110, 112) through the drivers (108a, 110a, 112a) based on the preferred operation mode, and operate the charging device (102) in one of the charging mode or discharging mode based (102), based on the performed switching operation.
