Abstract: The invention relates to healthcare informatics, and particularly to a centralized computer-implemented system and method for real-time medicine availability search, inventory management, batch-wise expiry monitoring, and low-stock alert generation across rural healthcare networks. A presentation layer, application layer, and database layer cooperate to authenticate users, receive search requests and inventory transactions, and synchronize local inventory records from pharmacy-specific nodes with a centralized cloud-based distributed repository through secure application programming interfaces. The application layer includes a user management module, medicine search module, inventory manager, expiry monitor, alert engine, and reporting module for maintaining batch-wise medicine information, ranking pharmacies with location information, classifying expiry and stock status, generating dashboard, email, SMS, or mobile alerts, logging alert events, supporting intermittent connectivity, and estimating shortage using historical consumption data and a Moving Average Algorithm.
