Abstract: Described herein is a cassette casing unit [114] of a pole assembly [102] of a Molded Case Circuit Breaker (MCCB) [100]. The cassette casing unit [114] comprises a first casing member [114a] and a second casing member [114b]. The first casing member [114a] comprises a lip [130], and the second casing member [114b] comprises a groove [132], wherein the lip [130] is adapted to mate with the groove [132], such that the first and second casing members [114a, 114b] are joined together to hermetically seal the pole assembly [102]. The cassette casing unit [114] is hermetically sealed, thus during arc generation during short-circuit, high temperature gases are only vented out through the vent channel [136], thereby maintaining structural integrity of the three (3) pole assemblies [102], and also maintaining the structural integrity of the MCCB [100].
