Abstract: ABSTRACT TITLE: A calibration process for industrial granular material handling A process for industrial granular material handling is provided based on calibration of distinct category of granular contact parameters by allowing said bulk granular material/ particle/ ore to flow through select liner walls of material handling equipment and recording two sets of sequentially coupled operative contact parameters of particle-particle as well as particle-wall interactions under different moisture conditions from 0%-saturated conditions for measuring the bulk behaviour of assembly of particles and obtaining therefrom the thus highly coupled sensitive and consistent interdependent interaction parameters denoting bulk behavior of assembly of particles to assess relative performance of liner materials towards granular material handling by taking into account interactions between bulk granular materials and said equipment liner materials. Said process for industrial granular material handling based on calibration of distinct category of granular contact parameters include Discrete Element Modelling (DEM) through design of experiment (DOE) based processing for industrial granular materials handling.
