MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202641078522 A) filed by Indian Institute Of Science on June 25, 2026, for A Building System For Managing Modular Living Units.
Inventors include Vishal Singh; and Vighneshkumar Rana.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A BUILDING SYSTEM FOR MANAGING MODULAR LIVING UNITS The present disclosure generally relates building system (100), and more particularly relates to a building system for managing modular living units. Further, the building system (100) includes structural host frame (102). Furthermore, the building system (100) includes continuous service channels integrated along each of columns (116A-N). Additionally, the building system (100) includes modular living units (104). The modular living units includes at least one of volumetric pods (112) and planar wall units (114). Further, the building system (100) includes hoisting unit (110) coupled relative to structural host frame (102). The hoisting unit (110) may be configured to vertically lift each of modular living units (104) between ground level and each of floors Further, the building system (100) includes to horizontal transfer unit(134) coupled relative to structural host frame (102) configured to move each of modular living units (104) in horizontal direction. Furthermore, the building system (100) includes docking interface (124). [FIG. 1 is a reference figure]
