The valve body is defined with an inlet port at one portion, and an outlet port at another portion, opposite to the one portion. Further, the valve body is defined with an axial passageway, which extends between the inlet port and the outlet port, and the axial passageway is defined with an inlet chamber and an outlet chamber. Furthermore, the valve body is defined with a tapered seat connecting the inlet chamber and the outlet chamber, and the tapered seat is defined with a plurality of grooves. Further, the breather valve includes a float positioned in the tapered seat. The float is structured to selectively reside on the tapered seat, allowing flow of fluid through the axial passageway from the inlet port towards the outlet port, and reside at the outlet port to seal the axial passageway.
