Abstract: ABSTRACT A BRAILLE COMMUNICATION DEVICE A braille communication device (100) and a tactile communication system (200) are disclosed. The braille communication device (100) comprises a housing (10), input-output units (20), a processing unit (70), a toggle button (50), a clamp (30), and a rechargeable power source (80). Each input-output unit (20) comprises a refreshable braille cell (82), a force sensor (83), a vibration motor (84), and a wedge-shaped support piece (85). In a read mode, the processing unit (70) actuates the refreshable braille cells (82) to present braille information. In a type mode, the processing unit (70) receives user inputs through the force sensors (83), generates braille input data, and controls haptic feedback through the vibration motors (84). The tactile communication system (200) further comprises an external electronic device (202) and a communication interface (204) configured to exchange braille data and user input data with the braille communication device (100).
