Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a bogie-mounted three-phase induction motor (1). The motor(1) comprise of a ribbed frame (1) designed for optimal thermal dissipation and structural support. The stator core (3) is composed of sheet steel laminations (2) arranged in a laminated structure, housing stator coils (4) with at least seven turns in a three-phase star-connected pattern. The motor includes a stator capsule (5) for easy installation, a rotor assembly (8) supported by a rotor shaft (7), and laminated rotor punchings (9) with rotor bars (11). Additionally, the cooling unit (12), end pressing plates (10), bearing assembly (15), and specialized cable gland (16) enhance performance and safety. The rotor(9) incorporates asymmetrical design elements, including cooling unit(12) and balancing planes, to improve reliability and noise performance. By employing a three-plane balancing system, asymmetric cooling, and an optimized ventilation arrangement, the motor(13) achieves improved torque stability and reduced noise.
