Abstract: The present invention discloses a blade for a vertical axis wind turbine. This blade (HSC) for vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT), configured for installations at approximately 30 feet altitude to improve energy capture. The blade consists of a height of 100 cm, a width of 11 cm, and a length of 31 cm, incorporating two distinct curvatures: a small curve of 12 cm diameter positioned at the lower edge and a large curve of 24 cm radius positioned at the top or midsection. The blade is mounted vertically on the central shaft of the VAWT and oriented such that the curvature profiles face the wind direction. The dual-curvature design enhances aerodynamic lift and drag performance, improves torque initiation at wind speeds as low as 2.5 m/s, and achieves peak efficiency at 6–9 m/s. (101) denotes an isometric view, (102) a front elevation, (103) a side view detailing blade width and aerodynamic curvature, and 104 a top view showing curve locations.
