Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a biomass water heater comprising a cylindrical combustion chamber (101) configured to burn biomass fuel and comprising galvanized iron is disclosed. A helical copper coil (103) is arranged around the cylindrical combustion chamber (101) and is configured to convey water to be heated by heat generated from combustion within the cylindrical combustion chamber (101). A water inlet and a water outlet (102) are connected to a lower portion and an upper portion of the helical copper coil (103) respectively, wherein water flows through the helical copper coil (103) while absorbing heat. A clay insulation layer (104) is arranged around the cylindrical combustion chamber (101) and the helical copper coil (103) to reduce heat loss, wherein the clay insulation layer (104) has a thickness of about 3 mm. A manhole is configured to provide access for cleaning and replacement. The biomass water heater is configured to heat about 15 liters of water up to about 50°C in about 15 minutes using about 500 grams of biomass fuel.
