Abstract: ABSTRACT The present invention relates to a bioactive polyherbal hydrogel exfoliating composition containing botanical seed particles and a process for preparation thereof. The composition comprises liquorice powder, rose petal powder, poppy seed particles, chia seed particles, flaxseed gel, tragacanth gum, glycerin, honey, a preservative, and rose water. The poppy seed and chia seed particles provide botanical particulate exfoliation, while the flaxseed gel and tragacanth gum form a natural hydrogel matrix for incorporating and uniformly distributing the botanical ingredients. Liquorice powder and rose petal powder provide botanical skin- conditioning components, whereas honey and glycerin contribute humectant and moisturizing properties. The composition is prepared by extracting flaxseed gel, preparing a dry botanical mixture, hydrating tragacanth gum, forming a hydrogel base, incorporating humectant and emollient components, gradually adding the botanical powder and seed-particle mixture, adjusting the final weight with rose water, followed by homogenization and packaging. A preferred formulation comprises approximately 1.5 g liquorice powder, 2.0 g rose petal powder, 2.0 g poppy seeds, 1.0 g chia seeds, 12.0 g flaxseed gel, 1.0 g tragacanth gum, 5.0 g glycerin, 7.0 g honey, methylparaben in a suitable quantity, and rose water sufficient to make 50 g.The invention provides a botanical exfoliating composition that combines mechanical exfoliation with hydrogel-based moisturization and botanical skin conditioning. The composition offers a biodegradable alternative to synthetic non-biodegradable exfoliating particles and is useful for topical cosmetic application for assisting in the removal of superficial dead skin cells and improving skin feel and surface smoothness
