Abstract: ABSTRACT A Bioactive Amla Extract-Based Culture Medium for Enhanced Fungal Isolation, Growth, and Sporulation Regulation The present invention is directed towards a culture medium for improved isolation, growth, and propagation of fungi comprising a bioactive extract of amla (Phyllanthus emblica). The culture medium includes an extract from amla, which is prepared using a controlled drying and decoction method, a matrix for fungal growth comprising agar, water, and nutrients such as dextrose, potato- based nutrients, trace minerals, and buffers. The amla extract includes natural carbohydrates, vitamins, minerals, organic acids, antioxidants, and polyphenols, thereby creating an enriched environment for growing fungi. This medium is formulated to facilitate rapid mycelium growth, increased colony formation, and increased biomass formation and propagation of the fungi relative to existing fungal culture media. A method for preparing the culture medium includes steps for preparing amla, preparation of the amla extract by decoction and filtration, formulation of the culture medium, pH modification, sterilization of the medium, inoculation with fungi, and incubation.
