Abstract: The present subject matter relates to a battery system (100). The battery system (100) comprises at least a plurality of battery packs (102a, 102b) and a power distribution unit (PDU) (104). The plurality of battery packs (102a, 102b) is electrically coupled with each other. The PDU (104) is electrically coupled with at least one of the plurality of battery packs (102a, 102b). The PDU (104) is mounted within one of the plurality of battery packs (102a, 102b). Thus, during an accident to crash, separation of the PDU (104) from the battery pack is avoided, thereby reducing the PDU costing and reducing the cable cost.
