The application for the patent was published on September 18, 2026, under issue no. 38/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT Title : A Battery Management System having SoC Confidence Evaluation Module A Battery Management System (1000) having an integrated chemistry aware State-of-Charge (SoC) module and a process for chemistry-aware State-of-Charge confidence evaluation and adaptive battery management are disclosed. The Battery Management System (1000) comprises a battery sensing module (102), a signal conditioning and preprocessing module (103), a battery management controller (105), a State-of-Charge estimation engine (106), a chemistry-aware SoC confidence evaluation framework (107), an adaptive battery control module (108), battery actuation interfaces (109) and a communication interface module (110). The State-of-Charge estimation engine (106) executes one or more State-of-Charge estimation algorithms to generate one or more estimated State-of-Charge values. The chemistry-aware SoC confidence evaluation framework (107) identifies battery chemistry, evaluates chemistry-dependent electrochemical observability, estimator divergence, thermal stability, aging, State-of-Health and signal consistency, and generates a dynamic State-of-Charge confidence value. The adaptive battery control module (108) utilizes the estimated State-of-Charge and evaluated confidence information to generate adaptive battery control commands and establishes a closed-loop feedback path for estimator recalibration, adaptive estimator selection, confidence evolution and continuous improvement in the reliability of State-of-Charge estimation during battery operation.
