MUMBAI, India, Aug. 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621073655 A) filed by Ankur Jain; and Anindita Tiwari on June 13, 2026, for A Battery Management System And Method For A Rechargeable Multi-Cell Battery Pack.
Inventor includes Ankur Jain.
The application for the patent was published on August 14, 2026, under issue no. 33/2026.
Abstract: ABSTRACT A BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR A RECHARGEABLE MULTI-CELL BATTERY PACK A battery management system (100) and method (200) for a rechargeable multi-cell battery pack (102) are disclosed. The battery management system (100) comprises a voltage acquisition circuit (104), a controller (108), an external balancing circuit (110), and an operational control circuit (112). The controller (108) is configured to identify a reference cell (114) from acquired voltage values, determine a voltage differential (116) between the reference cell (114) and at least one battery cell (106), and generate an equalization condition (118) based on the voltage differential (116). The external balancing circuit (110) supplies balancing energy from a source external to the battery pack (102), while the operational control circuit (112) controls continuation of battery operation based on satisfaction of an equalization criterion (120). The method (200) comprises acquiring (202) voltage values, identifying (204) a reference cell, determining (206) a voltage differential, generating (208) an equalization condition, conditioning (210) battery operation, supplying (212) balancing energy, and permitting (214) continuation of battery operation. FIG. 1 will be the reference figure.
