Abstract: TITLE: A BALANCE REHABILITATION SYSTEM FOR PHYSIOTHERAPY AND FALL-PREVENTION TRAINING APPLICANT: 1. SRI BALAJI VIDYAPEETH 2. MAHATMA GANDHI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE 3. SHRI SATHYA SAI MEDICAL COLLEGE AND RESEARCH INSTITUTE 4. SCHOOL OF PHYSIOTHERAPY ABSTRACT The present invention discloses a balance rehabilitation system for physiotherapy and fall-prevention training. The system comprises a wobble board with a pivot base, inertial measurement unit (IMU) sensor, and force-sensitive pressure sensors to assess tilt, sway, and weight distribution. A wearable band integrates photoplethysmography (PPG) for heart rate and oxygen saturation, blood pressure estimation, and galvanic skin response (GSR) sensors for stress monitoring. Embedded microcontrollers in both the wobble board and wearable band process respective data and transmit wirelessly to an Internet of Things (IoT) platform. An artificial intelligence (AI) module analyzes synchronized balance and physiological data, detects unsafe patterns, and adaptively adjusts exercise difficulty. A cloud-connected dashboard provides real-time feedback, session history, progress reports, and interactive game-based exercises. The invention offers a portable, cost-effective solution that integrates balance assessment with physiological monitoring, thereby improving safety, engagement, and accessibility in clinical, home-based, and remote rehabilitation settings.
