Abstract: ABSTRACT A BACKPACK TYPE VACUUM ASSISTED COTTON HARVESTER The present invention discloses a backpack type vacuum assisted cotton harvester (15) for reducing the manual effort and wastages while collecting the matured cotton manually. The vacuum assisted cotton harvester comprises a battery power source and a fibre sheet container. The fiber sheet container (7) is configured to worn by the wearer at its shoulder area by means of strip/belt. The cotton stem holder is configured to position the harvesting edge of the device for picking the matured cotton using the vacuum source. The blower (4) is configured to create the vacuum pressure for sucking the matured cotton from the selected cotton balls. The filter is configured to stop and send the suctioned cotton from the nozzle to fiber sheet container area. The wooden roller (11) is configured to split the cotton and seeds by means of passing the harvested cotton through the wooden rollers. The seed collector box receives and stores the classified seeds from the rotating rollers. The present invention (15) will reduce the wastages of matured cotton while manual harvesting in an effective manner.
