The application for the patent was published on September 04, 2026, under issue no. 36/2026.

Abstract: A 48V flat cable architecture (100) for a two-wheeled electric vehicle comprises a flat ribbon cable (102) having one or more conductive elements arranged in a planar configuration, such that its width exceeds its thickness. The flat ribbon cable (102) is enclosed within a flat tubular insulating layer (101) having opposing planar internal surfaces configured to restrict rotational and torsional movement of the cable during vehicle vibration. This planar configuration significantly reduces overall harness height compared to conventional bundled round cables, improving packaging efficiency within compact vehicle frames. Furthermore, the architecture provides enhanced heat dissipation due to an increased surface-area-to-volume ratio and reduces loop inductance by placing conductors in planar proximity. The architecture (100) distributes power and signals between electrical loads such as a battery pack (104) and a motor control unit (105) within a 48V system.
