Abstract: The present invention discloses a mobile and web-based application designed to address the challenge of ineffective team formation and unstructured mentoring in academic and innovation-driven environments. The platform enables students to create comprehensive skill-based profiles and uses a compatibility recommendation algorithm to suggest suitable teammates based on skill complementarity, shared interests, and project requirements. Students can browse peer profiles, send collaboration requests, and formally register balanced project teams within the application. An integrated teacher mentoring system allows faculty members to register as mentors, be assigned to or selected by student teams, and provide structured guidance through a dedicated mentoring dashboard. The platform further includes an in- app communication system for team and mentor interactions and a progress tracking module for milestone management and project documentation. The findings of the design and testing support the notion that the proposed platform reduces the time and effort required for team formation and improves the quality of mentoring and project outcomes compared to traditional informal methods.
