The application for the patent was published on June 12, 2026, under issue no. 24/2026.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the development of an AI-enabled 5G traffic management for smooth IoT communications uses the high throughput potential of 5G networks together with adaptive AI to handle heterogeneous devices. The scheme utilizes federated and edge learning in order to optimize the performance of traffic flows, dynamically slice the resources, and allocate resources in a timely manner while maintaining user privacy. The control plane in the solution involves performing lightweight on-device inference in addition to central inference in the control system. Learning agents adaptively adjust the scheduling and congestion control through telemetry data obtained from various sources including QoS, mobility, and energy consumption. Simulation experiments on smart cities' IoT infrastructure reveal that the scheme achieves up to 45% reduction in end-to-end latency, 30% increase in packet delivery ratio, and 25% increase in energy efficiency when compared with the fixed assignment technique.
