MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517068191 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on July 17, for 'zn-al-mg-based molten plated steel member.'

Inventor(s) include Toba Tetsuya; Kawamura Yasuaki; and Tanaka Tomohito.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This Zn-Al-Mg-based molten plated steel member comprises a steel member and a molten plating layer disposed on the surface of the steel member, the average formulation of the molten plating layer including 4 to 22 mass % of Al, 1.0 to 10.0 mass % of Mg, 0.0001 to 2 mass % of Fe, and the balance of Zn and impurities, the total area ratio of white pixels being 30% to 70% in binarized image data of image data capturing the surface of the molten plating layer, the binarized image data being obtained through binarization processing of image data by Ohtsu's binarization method."

The patent application was internationally filed on Feb. 09, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/004685.
