MUMBAI, India, March 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441093406 A) filed by Zenliv Superfood Private Limited, Tiruchirappalli, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 29, 2024, for 'zero-fat, nutrient-rich, all-purpose cream and its process for its preparation.'

Inventor(s) include Vallikkannu Annamalai; and Manogj Sundaresan.

The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention relates to a culinary cream composition and its preparation process, comprising a bean paste (101) made from boiled double beans, roasted sweet potato powder (102) produced by controlled roasting and fine milling of sweet potatoes with the skin retained, plant-based grain milk (103) derived from oats, rice, or millet processed to a porridge-like consistency and finely filtered, and xanthan gum (104) added at about 0.25% to 0.5% by weight. The method includes soaking and boiling the beans, roasting sweet potato slices at 100 C to 110 C to induce caramelization, and gently heating a combined mixture of the components to 80 C to 90 C before incorporating the xanthan gum, yielding a smooth, uniform, zero-fat, nutrient-rich cream suitable for diverse culinary applications."
