MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202521105048 A) filed by Marwadi University, Rajkot, Gujarat, on Oct. 30, for 'writing system for children with learning disabilities.'

Inventor(s) include Vivek M Chavda; Chandrasinh D Parmar; and Vijay Dubey.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A writing system for children with learning disabilities, comprising a writing pad 101 coupled to a gripper 102 to hold a writing unit, a first and second motorized rollers 103, 104 deploy and retract a writing paper, an optical character recognition (OCR) module scan and digitize text, figures and forms on the writing sheet, a transparent touch-enabled display 105, display content digitized by the (OCR) module, an AI-powered camera 106 monitor and analyze the child's handwriting activity from multiple angles, a motorized clamping and guidance arrangement assist children with limited motor control during handwriting activities, a multi-segmented grid chamber 112 with micro conduits, miniature solenoid valves, an air inflator, and a vibrator in the gripper 102 enable flexible holding of the writing unit by the gripper 102, a holographic projector 113 visually guide the child during activity."
