MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020738 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 19, 2024, for 'writing assistive device for writing over uneven surface.'

Inventor(s) include Roopika; Arushi; Dr. Tanuj Sharma; Palak Singh; and Vridhi.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A writing assistive device for writing over uneven surface, comprises a L-shaped body 1 configured with the writing tool 2 in proximity to tip portion of the tool 2, a motorized wheel 3 installed with the body 1 to provide support to the writing tool 2, a biometric sensor installed over the writing tool 2 to receive biometrics of a user, plurality of rubberized pneumatic blocks 4 installed over the writing tool 2 to provide gripping area to the user, a spring 5 attached with wheel 3 that compresses and expands, a laser displacement sensor monitors displacement of the spring 5, an electromagnetic spring 8 integrated in the writing tool 2 to provide movement to the chamber, a microphone 6 installed over the writing tool 2 to receive voice command of the user, and a laser projector 7 to project markings over the surface."
