MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541085139 A) filed by Sr University, Warangal, Telangana, on Sept. 8, 2025, for 'writing assistance device for individuals with wrist malfunction.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A writing assistance device (100) for individuals with wrist malfunction is disclosed. The writing assistance device (100) comprises a microphone (102). The writing assistance device (100) further comprises a motorized scriber (106). The writing assistance device (100) further comprising a Natural Language Processing (NLP) engine (118) communicatively connected to the microphone (102) and to the motorized scriber (106). The writing assistance device (100) is configured to receive the vocal indications from the individual through the microphone (102); process the vocal indications, using a speech recognition algorithm, to convert into corresponding text data; generate a writing output, using a speech-to-text algorithm, based on the text data; and actuate the motorized scriber (106) to write the writing output on the writing medium (108). The writing assistance device (100) improves accessibility and inclusion."
