MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006603 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'wrist support device for using computer peripheral.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Rupinder Kaur Sodhi; Mandeep Kaur; and Dr. Deepika Sharma.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wrist support device for using computer peripheral, comprising a curved-shaped positioned on fixed surface and installed with a curved-shaped plate 2 for accommodating a user's wrist portion while utilizing a computer peripheral, a strap 3 is secured over user's hand, an ultrasonic sensor detects dimensions of user's hand, a roller 4 configured with strap 3 to rotate for wrapping strap 3 in order to grip the user's hand over plate 2, a camera 5 installed on plate 2 for detecting user's body 1 posture, plurality of telescopically operated links 6 configured between the plate 2 and body 1 which extend/retract for maintaining an optimum distance between plate 2 and body 1 to maintain an optimum inclination angle of user's hand, an extendable rectangular member 7 configured with plate 2 to extend in view of providing a support to user's arm for comfortably using computer peripheral."
