MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411011282 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 19, 2024, for 'workpiece holding device.'
Inventor(s) include Shri Bhagwan.
The application for the patent was published on Aug. 29, under issue no. 35/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A workpiece holding device, comprising a body 1 integrated with a platform 2 associated with device to be placed over ground surface, an artificial intelligence-based camera 4 installed on platform 2 for detecting user's height and a workpiece dimension that is to be clasped, a telescopically operated rod 5 installed in between each suction cups 3 and platform 2 for acquiring grip on surface, a first and second bar 6, 7 attached with body 1 and linked with each other via pneumatic piston 8 to accommodate workpiece in between bars 6, 7, a plate 10 attached with end of each bars 6, 7 via motorized hinge for securing working, a pair of pneumatic poles 11 attached with body 1 and each configured with a motorized clamp 12 for holding workpiece, and a force sensor installed over one of plate 10 to measure force exerted by plate 10 over workpiece."
