MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020048 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'workpiece handling device.'

Inventor(s) include R. P. Agarwal; Naveen; Shamshad Hussain; and Anil Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A workpiece handling device, comprising a platform 1 installed with multiple motorized wheels 2 for maneuvering platform 1 over ground surface, an artificial intelligence based camera 4 mounted over platform 1 to decode height of user along with dimension of workpiece, a telescopically operated pole 5 attached over the platform 1 via a hinge which extends as per user's height, a circular member 6 fabricated with a motorized pulley expansion arrangement 7 attached at apex of pole 5 for holding the workpiece in between multiple links attached over member 6, a scotch yoke arrangement 7 interlinked in between the pole 5 and member 6 for rotating the workpiece as per user's requirement as commanded through a microphone 8 mapped on the platform 1, and a pair of pneumatic bars 9 installed in between the platform 1 and pole 5 for tilting the pole 5."
