MUMBAI, India, Jan. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511105626 A) filed by Vivekananda Global University, Jaipur, Rajasthan, on Oct. 31, 2025, for 'workpiece assembly securing assistive device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Pramod Kumar Faujdar.

The application for the patent was published on Dec. 12, under issue no. 50/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A workpiece assembly securing assistive device, comprising, a cuboidal body 101 with a handle 102 for a user grip, allowing precise positioning near a workpiece. an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 103, which works alongside an infrared (IR) sensor to detect the workpiece's dimensions, a pair motorized rollers 104 positioned on body 101 edges, connected to a flexible strap 105, which unwinds based on the detected dimensions, pairing with the imaging unit 103, a pair of telescopic clamping units 106 grip and secure the strap 105 around the workpiece, a plurality of supporting spools 107 guide strap 105 around corners, while a motorized clamps 108 attached to each spool secure strap 105 at corners, a microphone 109 is incorporated for user input commands to secure the workpiece, a tension sensor detects strap 105 tension, a LED 110 for ambient and emergency lighting, controlled by an LDR for light intensity detection."
