MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007478 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 3, 2024, for 'wooden plank installation device.'

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 8, under issue no. 32/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wooden plank installation device comprising a platform 1 installed with multi motorized omnidirectional wheels positioned on a ground surface, an imaging unit 3 arranged on platform 1 to determine number of planks along with dimension of the planks, a laser cutter 4 arranged on L-shaped telescopic bar 5 for cutting wooden planks, a two-axis sliding arrangement 6 integrated with cutter 4 for providing movement to cutter 4 over the planks, a primary pair of motorized sliders 7 integrated with first plate 8 to provide movement in to and fro motion, a motorized ball and socket joints used for gripping and positioning the planks, a secondary pair of motorized sliders 10 integrated with second plate 11 for providing movement in to and fro motion for positioning planks, a laser sensor 2 arranged for detecting grooves fabricated on the frame."
