MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023592 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'wooden log shaping device.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wooden log shaping device, comprises a platform 1 accessed by a user to position a wooden log over the platform 1, an artificial intelligence based imaging unit 8 to determine the position of the wooden log over the platform 1, a ultrasonic sensor to monitor diameter of the wooden log, a pair of motorized supporting rollers 5 by means of a pair of motorized sliding unit 7 to provide translation to the rollers 5 towards each other to accommodate the wooden log between the rollers 5, a color sensor to monitor color of the wooden log to determine presence of bark over the wooden log, a touch interactive display panel 9 to provide input regarding a diameter in which a wooden log is to be shaped and the rollers 5 and member 10 to grind outer periphery of the wooden log for shaping the wooden log."
