MUMBAI, India, June 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311083998 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Dec. 8, 2023, for 'wooden log loading device.'
Inventor(s) include Vikas Kaushik; Sarabjeet Singh; and Pradeep Kumar.
The application for the patent was published on June 13, under issue no. 24/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wooden log loading device, comprising a frame 1 consisting a pair of plates 2 installed on rear portion of vehicle, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 10 for capturing multiple surrounding images which are displayed on a touch interactive display panel 3 arranged on frame 1 for enabling user to select wooden logs to be loaded on vehicle, a telescopically operated rod 4 arranged on each of plates 2 by means of a motorized sliding unit 5 for aligning rod 4 with vehicle, an ultrasonic sensor for detecting distance between log and vehicle, a metallic bar 6 positioned by rod 4 toward logs which is manually engaged with the log with a pair of clamping units 7 integrated on bar for gripping log, and a pair of motorized rollers 8 coiled with a strap 9 and engaged on lower end of log manually for pulling towards vehicle to load."
