MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026011 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'wooden log carriage device for four-wheeler vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wooden log carriage device for four-wheeler vehicle, comprises a platform 1 attached with plurality of suction cups 2 for adhering platform 1 with chassis of a four-wheeler vehicle, an inverted U-shaped frame 3 via a horizontal bar 4 to carry a wooden log, a user-interface installed within a computing unit 5 wirelessly for enabling a user to give input commands for securing platform 1, a suction unit paired with suction cups 2 for generating a vacuum pressure underneath suction cups 2, a C-shaped motorized expandable clamps 6 installed via a telescopically operated rod 7 to extend for positioning clamp 6 in contact with wooden log, a laser sensor for detecting diameter of wooden log, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 8 for detecting any obstacle in path, a motorized ball and socket joint 9 to rotate rod which in turn results in rotation of clamp 6 and a pair of wheels 10 for maneuvering frame 3 smoothly over ground surface."
