MUMBAI, India, April 10 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441076741 A) filed by JAIN, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Oct. 9, 2024, for 'wood bars maintenance device.'

The application for the patent was published on April 10, under issue no. 15/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wood bars maintenance device comprises of a rectangular base 1 having motorized omnidirectional wheels 3 for locomotion, a container 4 provided on the base for storing of the wood bars, a weight sensor 5 in the container 4 detects the weight of the wood bars, a speaker 6 provided on the base to generate an audio alert regarding the refilling of the wood bars, a robotic arm 7 having a gripper at its end on the base pick the wood bar from the container 4 and cut it as per detected length, a motorized polishing wheel 10 provided on top surface to polish ends of cut wood bar, L-shaped telescopic link 11 having a nozzle 12 at its end for applying adhesive on two ends of the cut wood bar, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 13 installed on the base for recording and processing images of the base."
