MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517091819 A) filed by Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., Gyeonggi, Republic of Korea, on Sept. 25, for 'wireless charging method and electronic device supporting same.'
Inventor(s) include Choi, Yunjeong; Kim, Sangheon; Kim, Minsoo; Woo, Kwangtaek; Lee, Soogyu; Lee, Jiwoo; and Han, Yonggil.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "An electronic device is disclosed. The electronic device may comprise: a housing including a first housing and a second housing slidably coupled to the first housing; a wireless charging coil disposed in one region of the housing; at least one processor; and a memory that stores instructions. The instructions, when executed by the at least one processor, may cause the electronic device to: perform wireless charging with an external electronic device by using the wireless charging coil; identify the occurrence of a designated event during the wireless charging; and, on the basis of identifying the occurrence of the designated event, at least temporarily restrict, during the wireless charging, execution of at least one function having execution thereof defined in response to the occurrence of the designated event. The at least one function may be related to movement of at least a portion of the electronic device."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 13, 2024, under International application No.PCT/KR2024/095481.
