MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411018178 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 13, 2024, for 'wire twisting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Umesh Kumar Singh.
The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wire twisting assistive device, comprising a platform 1 positioned over a fixed surface and configured with plurality of motorized shafts 2 to insert a wire reel, an imaging unit 3 installed on the platform 1 determining dimension of center hole of the reel, a display panel 4 installed over the platform 1 enabling user's input commands, a telescopic rod 5 configured with the platform 1 to position a cylindrical member 6 arranged with the rod 5 over the shafts 2, a circular sliding unit 7 installed over periphery of the member 6 configured with plurality of pipes 8 to rotate for inserting wires inside the member 6, a robotic gripper 9 installed on the platform 1 for engaging the twisted wire on a motorized roller 10 arranged over the platform 1 and a speaker 11 installed over the platform 1 notifying user regarding completion of wire twisting."
