MUMBAI, India, Aug. 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441014063 A) filed by Valeo Systemes D'Essuyage, Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis, France, on Feb. 27, 2024, for 'wiper blade unit for a motor vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a wiper blade unit (100, 200) comprising a spoiler assembly (103) adapted for replacing a wiper strip (101), which is configured to contact a surface to be wiped, where the wiper blade unit (100, 200) extends along a longitudinal axis. The wiper blade unit (100, 200) comprises a pair of splines (102a, 102b) configured to support the wiper strip. The spoiler assembly (103) comprises an internal opening (103c) configured to receive the pair of splines (102a, 102b) and a portion of the wiper strip (101). The spoiler assembly (103) further comprises a plurality of locking elements (103d, 205, 210) configured to cooperate with the pair of splines (102a, 102b) for locking the pair of splines (102a, 102b) in position with respect to the spoiler assembly (103) to prevent a transversal movement of the pair of splines (102a, 102b) during the replacement of the wiper strip (101)."
