MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541124997 A) filed by Nandha Engineering College, Erode, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 11, 2025, for 'wifi range redirector with heart rate monitor.'
Inventor(s) include B Sowparnika; T Bhavatharani; V Divishna; R Gopika; and S Kanagasri.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Wi-Fi connectivity and health monitoring are essential in modern smart environments but weak Wi-Fi signals and lack of real-time health tracking can affect efficiency and safety. This project presents a system that simultaneously extends Wi-Fi coverage and monitors the user's heart rate. The device uses a Wi-Fi-enabled microcontroller to receive signals from a primary router and redirect or boost them to eliminate weak-signal areas. An integrated heart rate sensor continuously tracks the user's pulse and calculates beats. per minute, displaying the data on a mobile application, cloud platform or local display. The system clearly indicates the user's heart rate and ensures uninterrupted Wi-Fi performance, even while monitoring health. It is easy to use, portable and costeffective, making it suitable for homes, gyms, hospital and remote monitoring setups. By combining communication and health monitoring in one compact device, the system enhances safety, improves connectivity, simplifies user experience and supports smart loT-based applications."
