MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010107 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'wheel dismantling device.'

Inventor(s) include Arun Gupta.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wheel dismantling device, comprising a platform 1 having a first and second portion 2, 3 positioned on a ground surface, herein first portion 2 is arranged with a pair of flaps 11 connected with each other via a hydraulically operated piston 4 to form a V-shaped structure for positioning wheel which is to be dismantled, an ultrasonic sensor integrated on structure for monitoring dimension of wheel, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 for capturing and processing multiple surrounding images, a hydraulically operated pusher 6 arranged horizontally on second portion 3 and aligned parallel to wheel to extend towards wheel, multiple plates 7 integrated on free end of pusher 6 that are pushed onto wheel while pusher 6 extends towards wheel and multiple motorized hinge joints 8 integrated in between plates 7 to orient plates 7 to form sharp pointed structure to be forced on wheel to dismantle wheel."
