The application for the patent was published on June 20, under issue no. 25/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A wheel cover (100) for a wheel of a vehicle is disclosed. The wheel cover (100) comprises a plurality of rows of openings (202), each row has at least two openings (202) arranged in a radial direction. A plurality of flaps (104) are pivotally configured with each of the at least two openings (202). Each flap (104) is biased to remain in a closed position to close the corresponding opening (202) to ensure an aerodynamic profile of the wheel cover (100), and moves to an open position to let air pass through the corresponding opening (202) to cool one or more braking components located within the wheel. The wheel cover (100) includes an actuation assembly (400), which works based on a rack and pinion arrangement, to enable progressive opening of the flaps (104) based on an increase in operating temperature of the braking components."
