MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067737 A) filed by Zhejiang Jingling Industry And Trade Co. Ltd., Zhejiang, China, on July 16, for 'weight-adjustable kettlebell.'

Inventor(s) include Wang, Zhi; and Tong, Xiaorong.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A weight-adjustable kettlebell, comprising: a shell; a handle (1); a plurality of weight plates (3); and a base (7). The shell comprises an inner shell (17), an outer shell (2), and a weight support frame (20). The weight support frame (20) is fixed to the inner shell (17) and the outer shell (2), and the weight support frame (20) is provided with hanging members (21) corresponding to the weight plates (3). The weight plates (3) are sequentially positioned and stacked, the weight plates (3) are provided with arc-shaped engagement ridges (11) corresponding to the hanging members (21), and the arc-shaped engagement ridges (11) are sequentially arranged, from top to bottom, from the longest to the shortest to form weight adjustment levels. A center positioning seat (5) is arranged on the base (7), a turnplate (6) is arranged between the base (7) and the center positioning seat (5), the weight plates (3) are positioned and placed on the center positioning seat (5), and the shell is positioned and placed on the turnplate (6) and covers the weight plates (3). When the handle (1) drives the shell to rotate, the hanging members (21) slide into positions under the corresponding arc-shaped engagement ridges (11) to achieve weight adjustment. The kettlebell using the above structure has advantages such as a reasonable structural design, a small fitting gap, good stability, being easy and convenient to adjust by rotating, and being safe to use."
